We watched. The sun sank slowly. The sky turned from blue to orange, from orange to pink, from pink to voilet, from voilet to indigo, from indigo to blue, and from blue to a deep, dark blue. The twinkling stars dotted the dark night. The glowing moon rose. We rushed out of out cover, into the night. We are cats, Clan cats.
A rat! Chase it! Hurry! Our bait! The Clan rushed after it, and found ourselves in front of the two-leg nest. Its door was shut. Look, our bait! A whole Clan of rats! We unshethed our claws, they glittered in the moonlight. Ready your fangs! Places, everyone! The raid is about to start! We moved closer to the clan of rats. At my Clan leader's screech, we pounced at the rats. Hah! I got one to myself! My sharpened claws served me well. With one scoop the helpless little rat was in the air. In a split second, it was between my forepaws. My fangs met its scruff, I bit down. Crack! There went its neckbone. Here came the warm gush of fresh rat blood.
Good catch! Time for phase two. There! Right on time! Vengence shall be ours! The other cat Clan was here. They were here to steal our food, and we were there to seek revenge! Thier leader gave the attack screech, and their furry leeches leapt forward. Without us, they would be dead! They keep stealing our food! Still, my warriors were ready for them. We crouched down as a sign of defeat, and when they were unprepared, we sprang at them and raked our claws into their furred skin. That triggered the crecendo of sharp, piercing Clan-war screeches.
"Leave! Leave now!!!" There! That telepathic signal! I let out another screech, and my Clan warriors ran for cover. The other clan padded over to our prey and sniffed the cold, still rat bodies. Suddenly, the two-leg nest door flung open. A huge two-leg towered above the shocked Clan of cats. The two-leg brandished a shiny black object and-BANG! BANG! BANG! Explosive thingies flew everywhere! From our safe view, oue enemy Clan scattered and fled. Angrily, the two-leg looked around for anymore cats. When it could not find any it disappeared back into its nest and slammed the door shut. Happiness fluttered within our haerts. We have been avenged. Even though our actions do not show our joy, it could be seen in our shining eyes. Still, thanks goes to the human who warned me telepathically. We need to repay him. We padded to the river, and each of our seventeen cat warriors caught a fish. We carried the fish to the door step of the Two-leg's nest. I meowed. The door opened to reveal a two-leg it was not as tall as the one who had attacked our enemy, in fact it was much smaller. We laid the fish at the door step as a form of grattitude. Then we padded away. The score between the Clans was even. My stomach growled. It was time for our dinner. Rat meat, here we come!
