I ROAMED around the cracked, isolated desert, as i HOBBLED with my badly scarred leg. "Was I, the only one who survived that horrible plane crash?" I shuddered at the vivid image stucked in my mind. Blood, terror, screams , helplessness...corpse.......... My mind suddenly came back to reality form a disturbance. My stomach acted again, giving off an annoyed growl, which seems to be hinting yet again that it had not been filled for days. "What choice did i have?" I thought as i stared into the vast, unending nothingness.
Suddenly, my foot landed in a oval dent in the sand. As i looked up, i saw a whole trail of it ahead of me. " Camel footprints!" I exclaimed." It could be a way out!" A glimpse of hope sparkled in my worn and tired eyes, and I TRAILED the footprints eagerly, forgetting the constant pain that seared through my leg.
Not long after, i STUMBLED upon a spikey green object. Picking myself up, i took a closer look at it-- a tiny cactus. Unbothered by it, i walked on, but stopped a few moments later. In front of my tiny existance stood hundreds and thousands of giant looking cactus which stretched across miles and miles away. They stood rooted to the ground, while sharp spikes and torns pierced out from the inside. Somehow they seemed like green armoured soldiers preparing for war.
I stared at it for a few moments, and stared down at the last camel footprint which mysteriously ended there. There was no way i could have walked through the sea of cactuses with a healthy body, much less in such a weak condition i am now. Disappointed, i RETREATED back to wandering the desert, now positively sure that there was no way to get out of this endless nightmare.
